Who operates this site

The data controller is Simone Silini, publishing as Zamein.

Data used by the reader

Patreon sign-in: your Patreon identifier and display name, campaign membership and entitled tiers, membership status, and the times those rights were checked. Patreon also tells us whether your email is verified; the integration does not request or store the email address. Access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted so the site can check your access again.
Reading: your latest chapter, reading position, and choices of theme, font, text size, line spacing, and page width. Guests keep these on their device; signed-in readers also have a server copy for synchronization.
Community: chapter likes, comment text and timestamps, and moderation or removal status. Comments show your Patreon display name to readers who can access that chapter. Like totals are visible, but the site does not publish a list of who liked a chapter.
Contact messages: your sender address, the name you provide, and the contents of your message are used to answer your enquiry and handle any necessary follow-up.
Technical operation: session identifiers and request information needed to deliver pages and investigate errors or abuse. We do not run advertising or audience analytics, and we do not sell reader data.

Why we use it

Account, access, reading, and community data support the reader features you request (performance of the service). Security, troubleshooting, and moderation support our legitimate interest in operating a safe, reliable reading community. You may read public chapters without signing in; Patreon data is needed for membership access, synchronized reading, likes, and comments. There is no profiling for advertising or automated decision with legal or similarly significant effects.

Cookies and device storage

This site uses functional storage for sign-in, request security, and the reading choices you make. It has no advertising or analytics cookies.

sessionid: Keeps you signed in and protects the Patreon sign-in flow. Its configured lifetime is 14 days; signing out clears the current login session.
csrftoken: Protects forms and saved-state requests against forgery. Its configured lifetime is 364 days, refreshed when the token is issued.
cs.reading.v2.* (local storage): Keeps the reading settings and place saved on this browser, with separate guest and account copies. It has no automatic expiry. Signing out does not erase these local copies; clear this site’s data in your browser to remove them.

Cloudflare protects and delivers this website. It may use security cookies to distinguish legitimate traffic and remember a security challenge. Its cookie documentation describes those cookies and their lifetimes.

Services involved

Patreon handles sign-in and subscriptions under its privacy policy. When you connect, the website exchanges an authorization code and tokens with Patreon to verify your identity and access. This website never receives your Patreon password or payment card details. Patreon’s own services may process data in the United States; its policy explains its transfer safeguards.

The website and its database are hosted on an OVHcloud VPS in Italy.

Cloudflare processes network and request information to deliver and protect traffic. Its global services may involve processing outside the EEA. See its privacy policy and data processing addendum for safeguards and international transfers.

Messages to the contact address are forwarded to the operator’s existing mailbox. Cloudflare provides this forwarding. The email providers process sender and message information to deliver your enquiry; the operator uses it to respond.

How long data stays

Account details, saved reading data, and activity remain while the reader account exists. Signing out or ending a Patreon membership does not delete that account. Removing a comment hides it from readers; its text remains in the database for moderation until it is permanently deleted. Contact us to request account or data deletion. Expired server sessions are cleared by daily maintenance.

Daily database backups on the server are retained for 30 days, with older copies removed after a new verified backup succeeds. Separate encrypted recovery copies are held by the operator and rotated manually.

Your choices and rights

You can remove your own likes and comments in the reader and clear local data in your browser. Your data rights include access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests, where applicable. Use the contact page to make a request. We may need to verify your identity. Deleting reader data does not cancel your Patreon subscription.

You can complain to your competent data protection authority, including the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
